With the album cover art depicting Prince in front of a cemetery gate, and the years 1958-1993 scrawled under his birth name, it was clear that 1994 would mean the beginning of a new era for a newly reborn artist. Come would be the final album to be released under the name Prince until 2001s The Rainbow Children, and it serves as the first chapter in a new era of his artistryan era when he would simply be known by his unpronounceable symbol, and would establish himself as a commercially independent, revolutionary force in the music industry.

Great pressing, not a single scratch or anything. No damage on anything whatsoever. Side note, absolutely criminal there's no 1999 pressing or anything from the NPG music club <3. I would do a lot to sit through N.E.W.S on pressing!

Hard to believe this was released at the same time as The Gold Experience! A treat for fans both then and now!

I love this record so much. I had it on CD back in the day, but I used to go to this bar that had it on their jukebox, and I would play the whole thing so that others could hear the magic. It would get dicey at the end (if you know what I mean lol), but that was part of the fun. I love every song on this record, but my favourite tracks are Race, Papa, and Dark.

Not a “typical“ prince album, but a standout, nevertheless. Such an entrancing, black and white cover photo! It contains the fantastic jazzy instrumentation of the title song, and “Letitgo”, a funk opus.
