Prince's seventh studio album, and the second to be credited to Prince and the Revolution, Around The World In A Day, was released on April 22, 1985. Featuring no fewer than four singles, Around The World In A Day saw Prince and the Revolution change musical direction yet again, experimenting with psychedelic textures, incorporating new instrumentation, and expanding the genres of songs within the album.

With audio newly remastered by original mastering engineer Bernie Grundman, with additional mastering by Chris James, the Around The World In A Day Deluxe Edition includes the original album plus an entire bonus disc of extra material. The B-Sides & Bonus Tracks disc includes the extended versions of the A & B sides including the remix of Paisley Park, the extended version of Girl and Hello (Fresh Dance Mix), the nearly 22-minute 12" version of America (which makes its debut on CD), and two versions of the 1985 song, 4 The Tears In Your Eyes.

    Such a Treasure!

    This album has always been one of my favorites- marking Prince’s daring decision to follow his own vision for his career and refusing to be pigeonholed as an artist!

    The album is outstanding and the remix captures all of Prince’s brilliance as a songwriter, producer, musician, and songwriter such singer! Bravo!

    Very welcome release!

    One of Prince's best albums from his most creative time. Sounds better than ever, and the bonus disc is packed with fun tracks from that era. Was especially intrigued by the (very) extended version of "America".

    Come with me on this journey.

    The year was 1985, and I was graduating from high school and ready to take on the world. I was filled with excitement for what was to come. Then ATWIAD came out, and it was the cherry on top of life! The music from this album made life come to life and holds a very special place in my heart. I can't thank Prince & The Revolution enough for creating such an amazing album. I have been a fan of Prince since his second album, but ATWIAD is one of my all-time favorite albums. It is wonderful to have all the B-sides and extended mixes here on this edition. Thank you, Prince & The Revolution.
