40 years ago, Prince shattered all expectations and made music history when he released the album Purple Rain, followed by the hit movie of the same name weeks later. The 9-track LP went on to win two Grammy awards ("Best Rock Performance by a Group" & "Best Album of Original Score Written For A Motion Picture"), two American Music Awards, a Brit Award, and an Academy Award for Best Original Song Score.

To celebrate the landmark albums 40th anniversary, NPG Records is pleased to present Princes own 2015 Paisley Park Remaster on 140g Purple Splatter vinyl, in a mirrorboard sleeve with the original inner sleeve and poster.

This Limited Edition, one-off pressing is available exclusively via the Prince Store and Minneapoliss own Electric Fetus record store.

    The good first. It was a gift and she absolutely loved it. The sound is incredible and she has a good ear and the design is amazing.

    The bad. Paid extra for 3-5 day shipping and it was not even close. Not mailed for about a week after purchase. Can't trust the seller to mail on time. Would only buy again well in advance when needed.
