    Fantastic set! Presentation is amazing, the video restoration, very good. And what can I say... Listening to Prince or watching him perform live is ALWAYS an absolute joy. It took me straight back to the 80s. I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that Prince is to our time what someone like Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart has to his: an absolute genius.

    I grew up in the 80's. Prince's music was and always will be the soundtrack of a generation. This album is my favorite it brought back so many memories; my first concert, my first crush on a star. I am so glad this became available a clear DVD of the best concert ever. I saw this concert in Chicago. I will never forget the experience. This is so perfect. Thank you

    I love the blu-ray concert! Funky as hell and how Prince conducted and orchestrated the whole performance was out of this world! Love how he incorporated all of his other people was a great surprise! The extended guitar solo at the end was the icing on the cake. Prince takes me to cloud-9 and beyond all the way to the top! Magnificent!

    My best friend had this on VHS back in the day and I'm thrilled to have this digital version today. I did have to dust off my Blu-ray player but I was rewarded handsomely. The closing number is legendary, but how about some chops for Possessed, the song you didn't know but love? The amazing show just looks better today.

    The content is great - they did a good job mastering what was obviously old video tape footage into a passable blu-ray presentation. What I did not like is the packaging. The discs are in open envelopes that fall out of a badly designed case. It is really a pain to deal with that when a standard CD jewel case still works so well.

    Absolutely,positively the BEST! I have watched the blue ray a couple of times and so glad I got a player because the concert is Amazing! So glad they put out this set

    My only negative is that the concert is of Blue-Ray format. I would have like to have the option of DVD. I have to now buy a Blue-Ray player to view the concert. This indirectly is driving up the price of the package. Overall, I love the CD's. Thank you so much.

    This is the set I never knew I needed! Marvelous quality and detail! Brought back so many memories from seeing this show live in Philly that same year and later getting the VHS! It is certainly playing on non-stop repeat! Keep emptying the Vault! Also, please get Sirius to make the Prince Channel permanent!

    So cool to have this from back in the day. I used to work at the LA Forum in the 80's and back then an act would play for a week at a time so I saw this concert 5 times in a week. The 15-20min version of Purple Rain was the highlight of course. This is a great CD/Blu Ray. I only wish it was in widescreen format. Otherwise brings back good memories.

    Entertaining and talented!!! Words do not do any justice to describe the... talent, artist, musician and entertainer this man was! Breathtaking performance, we are all so fortunate to have been blessed to witness Prince while he was on earth.

    Had this on VHS years ago, so glad it was released on cd/blue ray to enjoy all over again. The only complaint would be a slight crease the outer cover received from the vacuum sealed packaging. Thank you!!!!!!! :-)

    I worked this tour for the LA dates at The Forum and Long Beach Arena. I’ve worked with most of the major acts that came through L.A. in the 80s and 90s and this show, Purple Rain Tour, was by far the best and most high energy production that I ever witnessed. I highly recommend the BluRay DVD of this show. Not sure about the audio CDs but the remastered Blu-ray is epic. For those here saying they don’t own a Blu-ray player, they are so cheap to buy now because they are almost obsolete because of streaming. Prince was very shy during this tour and I remember that when the lights went down to start the show, he didn’t want to see anyone that he didn’t personally know when walking from his dressing room to under the stage where he would take a lift up to the stage to open the show. During the final song, Purple Rain, after his vocals were finished, he would leave the arena and be long gone by the time the long music outro of the song ended. He was like Elvis. Great memories from this tour that I’m glad to relive through the Blu-ray dvd. If you’re a Prince fan, this is a must have!
